Midnight Swim Platter

Like so many other people, I discovered sea swimming during the Covid Lockdown. The night swims under a full moon were the best of all! No matter how many photos we took, not one managed to capture the sparkling crystals dancing atop the inky rippling water reflecting the light of the moon. It was these images that influenced the glazes of the Moonlight Swim Platter. The opaque glossy glaze contains crystals that bloom into various shades like the night time sea. 

This stoneware piece has been fired twice up to 1270 degrees. The piece is food safe and can also be enjoyed as a piece of wall art when not in use. Although the piece is dishwasher safe, I recommend washing by hand.

Approximately 30cm long and 20cm wide.
